AFCU & You Blog

The U.S. unemployment rate jumped to 14.7 percent in April, the highest level since the Great Depression, as many businesses have shut down or severely curtailed operations to try to limit the spread of coronavirus.

These criminals are making phone calls and sending texts and emails pretending to be from government agencies, banks and credit unions offering unemployment benefits, fake stimulus checks and attempting to get people’s personal and financial information.
