Position Overview

The Compliance Officer will manage and support the credit union’s compliance management system, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a hands‑on, collaborative environment and wants to make a meaningful impact within a mid‑sized credit union.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct daily BSA/AML and OFAC monitoring and reporting.
  • Review and update internal policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate internal and external compliance audits.
  • Manage subpoenas and legal information requests.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and guide implementation.
  • Collaborate with departments to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Conduct and oversee compliance training for staff and volunteers.
  • Prepare and maintain compliance documentation and reporting.
  • Investigate compliance issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Support monthly Supervisory Committee meetings and provide reporting to management and the Board.
  • Provide backup support to management and department staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Foundational understanding of financial‑services compliance; credit union experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prior compliance or regulatory experience is a plus.

Salary & Benefits

Salary Range: $110,000 – $145,000 annually, depending on experience.
This range reflects competitive compensation for a mid‑sized credit union in the El Segundo market.
